What is WAC?

Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) is a national—and increasingly international—movement aimed at making writing a bigger part of every classroom. The philosophy is simple: students who write more will learn more, think more and do more.

Florida International University's own WAC program was launched in response to this mission as a Provost's Strategic Initiative in 2012. Our program supports faculty in using writing as a dynamic teaching tool, helping everyone meet new challenges in fostering student learning, engagement, and communication skills.
